I ordered this because I was tired of having to "dip" up the fat on anything I was cooking, like, chicken, chili, stew, etc. All I have to do when the meat is finished cooking is pour the broth into the separator and wait a minute. All the grease floats to the top and I can pour the broth, grease free into another container. Makes me feel good to make noodles or dumplings and get all the flavor from the broth w/none of the fat. I appreciate the bigger container also and I like the shape and durability of this one. I also bought 2 others for my daughters in law.
